This 250KW solar PV project is located in Aomori Prefecture, the northernmost area of Honshu, Japan. The region is known for its harsh winter climate, with prolonged periods of heavy snowfall, low temperatures, and high humidity. These environmental conditions pose significant challenges for the design and durability of solar mounting systems, especially in terms of snow load capacity, corrosion resistance, and structural stability.

To meet these challenges, SOEASY provided a customized fixed ground mounting solution made from high-strength hot-dip galvanized steel. The structure features a tilted single-row configuration, specifically designed to facilitate snow shedding and reduce the accumulation of snow on the panels, thereby improving solar exposure and energy yield during winter. The corrosion-resistant coating ensures long-term durability and minimal maintenance even in snow-prone and coastal regions.

The mounting system is anchored using pre-cast concrete foundations, which not only enhance overall system stability but also streamline the installation process and reduce construction time. During the project planning phase, SOEASY’s engineering team conducted comprehensive structural load calculations and adapted the mounting design to meet Japanese regulatory standards and environmental conditions, ensuring maximum safety and reliability.

Despite the severe winter conditions, the mounting system performed exceptionally well after installation, remaining stable under heavy snow. The client was highly satisfied with the system’s robustness, the smooth installation process, and the overall technical support provided by SOEASY.
