When the innovative needs of industrial practice are deeply integrated with the intellectual resources of university research, a practical collaboration in the field of photovoltaics has begun to show promising results. Since 31 March 2025, when Professor Tian Erbu, Dr. Zhong Hai, Professor Luo Congshuang, and other experts from Sanming University in Fujian Province visited Soeasy Technology (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. to kick off the collaboration, after four months of collaborative efforts, on 11 July, the core team of Soeasy, including Chairman Zheng Huikang, General Manager Zhan Hongjian, and R&D Engineer Yan Mingxian, visited Sanming University to exchange research findings, marking a new phase in this university-industry collaboration and injecting strong momentum into the coordinated development of the photovoltaic industry.
Addressing Technical Pain Points: Product Innovation Breakthroughs Show True Results
As a practitioner of technological innovation in the photovoltaic sector, Soeasy has always driven industrial upgrading through technological breakthroughs, and the in-depth involvement of university research forces has provided key support for enterprises to solve practical problems. During this achievement exchange, both parties systematically reviewed the results of the April tackling campaign, with numerous highlights in technological breakthroughs: At the level of innovation and optimization of core product materials, relying on the cutting-edge research achievements of the Materials Science discipline at Sanming University, some of Soeasy’s products have achieved innovations in material performance. Through the scientific optimization of material formulas, not only has the product stability and service life been significantly improved, but also breakthrough progress has been made in cost control. In response to the core data processing bottlenecks in the annual key R&D projects, the university-enterprise joint team has gone through multiple rounds of technical demonstration and experimental verification, and built a precise data processing model, which has cleared obstacles for the large-scale implementation of the project and achieved phased results.
These achievements are a prime example of the ‘industry demand-driven + academic research-empowered’ collaborative model — enterprises identify key areas for breakthroughs based on market pain points, while universities leverage their disciplinary strengths to overcome technical barriers, ensuring that innovative outcomes are firmly rooted in industrial practice.
Anchoring Industry Depth: Research and Education Collaboration to Chart a New Development Landscape
Based on the long-term development of the photovoltaic industry, both parties have reached a strategic consensus in the field of research and learning cooperation. Leveraging Soeasy’s practical accumulation in the photovoltaic industry and Sanming University’s academic and research heritage, the university and enterprise will jointly advance three core tasks: First, to develop specialized application tools for the photovoltaic field in a targeted manner, filling the technical gaps in the field of practical tools for the industry; Second, to take the lead in formulating standards and specifications for photovoltaic sub-fields, providing clear technical benchmarks and compliance guidelines for industry development; Third, to transform cooperation achievements into high-level academic papers, injecting industrial practical value into theoretical research in the photovoltaic field and realizing a virtuous cycle of “practice feeding back theory”.
The implementation of this series of plans will not only strengthen Soeasy’s professionalism and authority in the photovoltaic industry, but also promote the standardized and professional development of the industry through the joint efforts of the university and enterprise, demonstrating the industry responsibility of innovative enterprises and universities.
