Okayama Japan 45KW
about project
Located in Okayama, Japan, this 45KW rooftop solar project was installed on an asbestos tile roof, a traditional roofing style still seen on many older industrial and warehouse buildings in Japan. The project demonstrates a safe and efficient solar solution for fragile rooftops with structural limitations.
soeasy rooftop mounting solution
To protect the integrity of the aged and brittle asbestos tile surface, non-penetrating mounting brackets were selected. These brackets are fixed using aluminum rails and stainless-steel hooks, which cleverly grip the tile edges or ridges without drilling into the roofing structure.
- Mounting System: Aluminum rail + tile hooks + mid/end clamps
- Panel Layout: Landscape orientation, tightly aligned for space efficiency
- Cable Management: Corrugated cable protection pipes and mesh netting under the structure
- Safety Design: Anti-bird netting prevents debris and birds from interfering with system performance

This project proves the flexibility and reliability of SOEASY’s non-penetrative rooftop mounting solutions, even for challenging roof types like asbestos tiles. It also reflects the growing trend of Japan’s commitment to decentralized clean energy adoption in industrial settings.
