Indonesia 4.5MW
about project
As Southeast Asia accelerates its shift toward renewable energy, the demand for distributed solar systems continues to grow. SOEASY recently delivered a large-scale 4.5MW commercial rooftop solar project in Indonesia, showcasing our strength in providing customized, efficient, and reliable mounting solutions for complex industrial rooftops.
Located in a major industrial zone in Indonesia, the project site is a manufacturing facility with expansive rooftop areas. The client, a leading local enterprise, aimed to reduce electricity costs and advance its sustainability goals by installing a large-scale solar power system.
Roof Type & Installation Challenges
The rooftops consist primarily of:
- Standing seam metal roofs: Known for their smooth, non-penetrating structure that demands non-invasive installation methods.
- Corrugated steel roofs: Structurally robust but scattered with exhaust vents and other obstacles.
In addition to the diverse roof conditions, the tropical climate—characterized by high temperatures and frequent rain—posed additional demands on system durability and corrosion resistance.
SOEASY’s Tailored Mounting Solution
To ensure long-term stability, efficient construction, and optimal system output, SOEASY provided a complete rooftop solution package:
1. Non-penetrating Standing Seam Clamps
- Specially designed clamps that do not require roof drilling;
- Maintain the integrity of the waterproof layer;
- Made of high-grade aluminum alloy, ideal for humid climates.
2. L-Foot + Rail System for Corrugated Roofs
- Combines aluminum rails with L-foot brackets for strong, lightweight support;
- Fast and secure installation;
- Stainless steel components ensure long-term weather resistance.
3. Pre-assembled Kits for Easy Deployment
- All parts shipped with partial pre-assembly;
- Minimized on-site labor and installation time;
- Helped the project complete within weeks from start to grid-connection.
4. Rooftop Walkway System
- Metal grating walkways were added for safe technician access;
- Facilitates future inspection and maintenance;
- Reduces the risk of accidental damage to panels or the roof.
The completed solar system is expected to generate over 6 million kWh annually, saving substantial energy costs and offsetting around 4,700 tons of CO₂ emissions per year. The client praised SOEASY’s professionalism, fast delivery, and product quality. This project further proves SOEASY’s capability in large-scale rooftop PV mounting system integration and strengthens our presence in the Southeast Asian market.
